MAKRstudio is a small manufacturing studio in Midvaal. We draw, cut, engrave and finish each order ourselves, so a piece can be any size, any number of layers and any wording you need.
Because every job is priced from its own specification, you see the cost change as you choose — no waiting for a callback to find out what a bigger plaque costs.
Size, layers and extra customisation recalculate the price on the product page before you add to basket.
Pay in ZAR by card or instant EFT through PayFast, or with PayPal. More gateways can be switched on as we grow.
Made-to-order pieces stay open for any quantity; ready-made blanks show what is on the shelf.

Bespoke work lives on word of mouth. Here is some of it.
We needed 120 engraved place names for a wedding in three weeks. MAKRstudio quoted the same day, sent a photo of the first cut, and delivered the whole set boxed and labelled by table.
The counter display stands are still perfect two years on. What sold me was seeing the price change as we added a layer and went up a size — no back-and-forth emails.
They made a memorial plaque for my father with his handwriting engraved across the front. It was handled with real care, and the finish is better than anything I saw online.
